BOUDREAUX Bolsters Leadership Team with Addition of Two Firm Associates

BOUDREAUX recently expanded its leadership team with the election of two Associates: Justin Abrams, AIA, and Tiara Williams, AIA, NOMA. Justin and Tiara both lead with a love for creating inspiring design that enriches communities.

Justin Abrams has been actively building community connections since moving to Columbia almost twenty years ago. He engages with clients in an effort to learn and analyze the nuances of their organization and employs creative solutions to make a space more efficient and engaging. Justin encourages the next generation of architects at his alma mater, Clemson University, by guest critiquing and speaking to professional practice classes and through his various American Institute of Architects leadership roles. Equal parts creative designer and technical problem solver, he is inspired by the research that is integral to the design process and getting to know the people that will inhabit each space. Recent projects have included the Midlands Technical College Center for Business and Information Technologies, University of South Carolina Campus Village, City of Florence Urban Square Parking Deck, and Clemson University’s Bryan Mall Residential High Rise Renovation.

A legend from Louisiana, we knew Tiara Williams was a talented powerhouse, and when the opportunity came to recruit her to South Carolina, we jumped. Once here, she soon became the one of only three licensed African American female architects in South Carolina and is now helping to launch South Carolina’s Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). She provides a high level of technical skill to every project, including historic preservation and new construction. She is particularly proficient in the development of construction documents utilizing Revit’s Building Information Modeling and provides training and mentorship to others. Tiara is detail-oriented and thrives on the construction site where clients and contractors benefit from her responsiveness and thoughtfulness. Recent projects have included the South Carolina Parks, Recreation and Tourism Rehabilitation of The Venues at Arsenal Hill, University of South Carolina Campus Village, Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter, and Trinity United Methodist Church Rehabilitation in Orangeburg.

With this infusion of new leadership, the team continues to grow and stay at the forefront of creative design and innovative business practices.
