Coastal Carolina University Adopts Master Plan Update
Coastal Carolina University (CCU) has unveiled its updated Campus Master Plan Update, a strategic blueprint designed to guide the university’s growth and development over the next decade. Developed in collaboration with BOUDREAUX, the plan addresses the evolving needs of CCU’s expanding student population and aligns with the university’s commitment to academic excellence and community engagement.
The master plan focuses on densifying the campus core to accommodate rapid enrollment growth while enhancing the overall student experience. Key components include the development of new academic facilities, expansion of student housing, and improvements to campus infrastructure. The plan also emphasizes sustainability, accessibility, and the preservation of CCU’s unique coastal character.
“This updated master plan reflects our dedication to providing a dynamic and supportive environment for our students, faculty, and staff,” said CCU President Michael T. Benson. “Through thoughtful planning and community input, we aim to create a campus that fosters innovation, collaboration, and a strong sense of place.”
BOUDREAUX led an inclusive planning process, engaging stakeholders through interactive focus groups, town hall meetings, and design workshops. This collaborative approach ensured that the master plan aligns with the university’s strategic goals and the aspirations of the CCU community.
The updated Campus Master Plan serves as a roadmap for future development, positioning Coastal Carolina University to meet the challenges of tomorrow while honoring its rich history and traditions.
