Groundbreaking at Christ the King’s Fulford Athletic & Activity Complex

Yesterday we broke ground on the new Fulford Athletic & Activity Complex at Christ the King Catholic High School. It’s been an honor working with their leadership, and to see the passion this project inspires. The 21,800 square-foot Fulford Athletic & Activity Complex will include a full-size court and two cross courts in the expanded gymnasium, seating for more than 720 spectators, men’s and women’s locker rooms for home and visiting teams, and offices. It will also feature a full-size stage for student performances and school-wide events. The new complex will nearly triple the size of the current gymnasium.

The ceremony was presided over by Bishop Peter Jugis, who invited all to “pray for God’s help… that He will bring this project to a successful completion and that His protection will keep those who work on it safe from injury.”
“The work we are beginning today should enliven our faith and make us grateful, said Bishop Jugis. “Whenever we look to the interests of our neighbor or the community and serve them, we are in a sense God’s own co-workers.”
