Anderson University Athletics Master Plan

Our team created a framework for improvements, future development, space programs and donor enticements. Encompassing both athletics and student recreation, the master plan illustrates the long-term vision of Univeristy leadership, particularly incorporating anticipated growth in varsity sports. Improving pedestrian and bicycle connectivity between the athletics campus and the main campus was studied as well as possibility of including residence halls on the athletics campus. New gateways, sidewalk improvements, and new multi-use pathways around and through the campus will provide accessible and welcoming paths for recreation and wellness for the Anderson University family as well as the City of Anderson. The master plan recommendations address the appropriate orientation for new fields and new facilities with a focus on recruiting and enhancing the spectator experience. The master plan was a collaborative effort with SportsPLAN Studio and LandPlan Group South.

Space Programs were created for multiple phases including:

• Varsity Team Support Facilities with Strength and Conditioning, Athletic Training, Team Meeting and Locker Rooms
• Athletic Administration and Coaches Offices
• 1500 Seat Track and Field Stadium
• Recreational Gym and Pool Building
• 1500 Seat Baseball Stadium and Clubhouse
• Indoor Tennis Courts
• Golf Center
• 2500 Seat Arena
