BOUDREAUX Offices | Columbia, SC
National Register Historic District
LEED Commercial Interiors Gold Certification
Contributing to the economic revitalization of downtown Columbia, three long vacant buildings are being rehabilitated and interconnected to become BOUDREAUX's offices and the boutique Hotel Trundle. BOUDREAUX will enjoy the high ceilings and open volume of the second floor of 1519 Sumter Street and occupy approximately 6,600 square feet. Hotel Trundle will take advantage of the unique historic character of the building and feature 42 rooms, including a fitness center, and showcase a dynamic Taylor Street lobby. The commercial storefronts are all being restored based upon historic research and photographs.
As part of the Columbia Commercial National Register Historic District, the project is receiving multiple tax incentives and the team is guiding the design to comply with the complex requirements. A testament to the team’s ability to creatively solve the challenges of historic preservation while taking advantage of the character defining elements, the project was fully leased early in the process bringing great value to the ownership group.
